However, I'm volunteering for a Hispanic Heritage month event, so I won't be able to do much walking around and taking photos. I will have an hr or so after the event ends and before the zoo closes, but evening isn't the best time. The good news is, Allan got a camera for his birthday! Keep in mind, he's 3, and it's a toddler camera (drop-proof, bulky so he can keep hold of it) and not the best quality. The screen stinks, but I don't know how they look on the computer yet. I'm going to upload them so he can send them to my sister, and if anything good comes out, you might just get to see some photography from a 3-yr-old!

I've had a few people start watching me recently and I've had to apologize for not having any recent photographs up. I do have one set I never got up here, and even though it's about a year or 2 old now I still want to put it up. It's Allan and Daddy at the playground and stuff. My little man's going to be 3 in three weeks, how crazy is that? Maybe I'll be able to get ahold of a good camera at the party and get some pics. My sister scored a perfectly good Kodak camera for $5 at a yardsale, and man am I jealous. Anyway, that's my quick little update for now. Been dealing with some stuff with my tonsils and been pretty sick lately, but hopefully on the way to getting better now.

EDIT: I've submitted the original fall portraits of Allan. I've learned I'm terrible with titles. lol.


I've taken more photos today while we were waiting for the Thanksgiving dinner to be prepared. I'll try to submit them soon. Quick question- do you want to see all of them, or just a select few that I think are the best? I sometimes feel like I submit too many photos from the same series. But I'm never sure what's best, and I welcome any critique.

Seriously. I promise. It's already been shot, so that makes it even sooner. And it's already on the computer. Right now my computer as a whole, and especially the internet, is being a giant D-bag though, so I don't really want to do it right now. (I've already restarted the stupid thing three times *knock on wood*)

It's fall photos of Allan that I took yesterday, and a few of them are pretty good. We "played photoshoot" as I call it (I'm still very critical of any photographic ability I may or may not possess, but that's a different story.)

So as soon as this stupid PC stops being stupid (I can't wait to buy myself a Mac, but I also need a new camera. Which first?) I'll try to upload them. I might also want to do a bit of post-processing, but I'm not very good at that, and we don't have anything good like Photoshop anyway.

Well, Firefox just shut down while I was trying to type this (at least it saved it for me!), which is never a good sign. So I'll shut up. But please hold me to the fact that I said I'd have something up soon! I owe it to anyone who actually watches me and likes the mess I put up here! Thanks, if you exist!

Allan is 1! It's so exciting! Tomorrow is his party, so I'm about to go work on foods and cake and all that good stuff. Just had to share.
